If you have a public Instagram or Facebook account, Meta will allow anyone to use any of your feed photos in AI-generated content. Meta rolled out Meta Muse, which is a text-to-image AI generator for Meta AI. If you have a public Instagram account, you are automatically opted IN to giving Muse full access to your images. Here’s how to change it:![]()

➡️ Switch off “Allow people to reuse your content on Instagram and with AI features at Meta.”![]()
The setting only appears for public accounts. BUT, if someone uses your image, Meta doesn’t alert you. This raises serious concerns around consent and non-consensual image creation.
