So much more is "caught rather than taught"! Hands-on learning is the learning that we remember best, and to that end, we offer internships that are highly practical in nature, coupled with on-the-job teaching and debriefing. We offer various types of internships. 

CBOQ Youth partners with our other Canadian Baptist affiliates.  We are returning with 2 interns, led by Steve Elshaw (youth pastor at Central Baptist Church in Oakville) to join our Convention of Atlantic Baptist Churches friends at Springforth, their annual high school event.  This May 6-8 excursion is an opportunity to participate in youth ministry in a different context, and see what is transferable back home. 

New this year: CBOQ is partnering with the Canadian Baptists of Western Canada to visit with Grandview Calvary Baptist Church and their para-church ministry partnerships in Vancouver.  You can download the application for Springforth here and Grandview Calvary here.  Applications are due March 30, 2010.

CBOQ Youth also offers an in-office program where an intern works alongside our CBOQ Youth staff for 4-12 months.  This is an opportunity to get a "behind-the-scenes" look at how organizational ministry happens, to hone one's administrative skills and to fulfill some personal learning objectives.  Applications are being accepted for the next internship starting May 3, 2010.  You can download your application by clicking here.  Applications are due April 1, 2010.
